Yes — modern fast primes (f/1.2–1.4) and high-ISO-clean bodies handle most awards venues. Flash only used at the red carpet entry or for off-stage portraits, never during the ceremony.

Yes — a small, fast portrait corner with a single soft key and a clean backdrop. Winners go through after their on-stage moment for a 30-second portrait set.

Can the gallery be ready for next-morning press?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a remote editor works in parallel during the night so the press selects (typically 30–60 frames) are in your inbox before 8am, with full gallery within 24 hours.

How do you handle stage lighting and big screens?

I balance for the stage front-light and shoot RAW so the LED screens behind don't blow. If your screens run very bright I'll request a max nit value and adjust accordingly.

Do you cover after-party as standard?

A two-hour after-party block is included in the standard awards package. Anything beyond that is per-hour and rarely required, since the most useful candids land in the first 60 minutes.

Can you work with our PR team on a shotlist?

Always. I prefer a 10-line shotlist with named winners, sponsor logos to capture, and any guest-of-honour priorities. We confirm by email and run through it on the night.

Yes — a trusted second covers red carpet while I take stage, or a roaming candid role. Books out weeks in advance for peak season, so confirm early.

How do you manage moving from stage to red carpet?

I plan the route with the stage manager so I can step out cleanly between segments. Where the layout makes that risky, the second photographer covers the crossover.
